Amy Hummel made her regular season Jeopardy debut in its 40th season on April 24, 2024. She became a five-day champion in the show and took home a cash prize of $100,884 + $2,000.

Amy is eager to recreate her Jeopardy triumph as a contestant in the ongoing 2025 Jeopardy Tournament of Champions. The former five-day champion is one of the semifinalists in the competition.

Amy is set to appear in the semifinal match of the tournament on February 5, 2025. On Wednesday, she will be joined on the podium by two other former champions.

Hummel’s first opponent tonight is a Burbank, California-based customer support team lead, Isaac Hirsch. Likewise, her second opponent is Mark Fitzpatrick, a content manager from Riverside, Connecticut.

Amy hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was born in August 1994.

Now 30 years old, Hummel was raised by her parents, Robert E Hummel (father), and Cynthia L Hummel (mother). She has a younger brother named Peter R Hummel.

Amy did her high school graduation from Wheaton North High School in 2012. She then obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish from St. Olaf College in 2016.

Furthermore, Amy earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2020.
