Carolyn Gramling has been writing about earth and climate at Science News Magazine for more than seven years. She is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Carolyn will look to use her creative writing and decision-making skills as a contestant in the 41st season of Jeopardy! Her episode in the popular trivia game show will air on November 25, 2024.

In the upcoming episode, Carolyn will challenge the returning champion from last Friday, Adam Hersh. The attorney based in Brooklyn, New York has a winning purse of $29,000 following his win in the debut episode.

Similarly, Carolyn’s second challenger on Monday’s episode is an episcopal priest from Fallas Church, Virginia, Kevin Laskowski.

Carolyn Gramling Wiki & Family

Carolyn, now a native of Washington, DC, is originally from Coral Gables, Florida. She was born in April 1971 which makes her 53 years old as of 2024.

After high school, Gramling earned her Bachelor of Arts in European History from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Florida International University in 1997.

Carolyn completed her joint PhD program in Marine Geochemistry from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2003.

What Is Carolyn Gramling’s Job?

Carolyn has devoted her professional career to writing and journalism as she is an earth and climate writer at Science News Magazine. She started her tenure in September 2017.

Previously, Carolyn served as a reporter and editor at Science Magazine from June 2011 to August 2017. There, she covered paleontology and polar science.

Carolyn was an associate editor at EARTH Magazine from ay 2006 to June 2011. Meanwhile, she also served as a web editor and reporter at EARTH Magazine from September 2008 to March 2011.

Additionally, Carolyn worked as a science and technology writer at the University of Florida from September 2004 to May 2005. Before that, she was a science writer at WOSU Public Media from September to November 2003.
