Chris Burge has been teaching government and economics and AP government and economics at Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep. He holds a degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Burge is making his reality television debut as a contestant in the 41st season of Jeopardy! He will share the podium with two other participants on November 19, 2024.

Chris’ first opponent on Tuesday is the reigning Jeopardy champion, Paul Clauson. The duo will be joined by a Baltimore, Maryland-based librarian, Mikey McCullough.

Burge will seek to end the winning streak of Clauson, a Madison Heights, Michigan-based tax analyst. Paul has a winning purse of $36,300 following two straight wins on Jeopardy!

Chris’ upbringing came in Farmers Branch, a city in Dallas County, Texas. He was born as Christopher Burge in March 1990.

Burge’s age is 34 as of 2024. He has an American nationality and white ethnicity.

After graduating from Jesuit Dallas High School, Chris attended the University of Texas at Austin for his bachelor’s degree. He earned a BA in Government with a minor in Spanish from Texas.

Burge is now pursuing a Master of Arts in Political Science at the University of West Florida.

Previously, Burge taught social studies at Dallas Independent School District from August 2015 to June 2018. He also taught at Jeddah Private International School in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia for 10 months from August 2018 to May 2019.

Chris was a lifeguard at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas from June 2006 to October 2014. Similarly, he was a summer pool manager at Greenhill School from June 2006 to August 2014.

Chris also handled the position of Communication Director during Hector H. Lopez’s campaign for mayor in 2013. Additionally, he was a political director during Sean Hubbard’s campaign for a US Senate seat in 2012.
