Mikey McCullough From Jeopardy Is A Maryland Based Librarian

Mikey McCullough holds extensive knowledge of working within the federal and academic library sectors. She is a Maryland-based metadata librarian at the National Agricultural Library.

McCullough will seek a competitive advantage over her challengers when she makes her television debut with Jeopardy! Her episode in the 41st season of the show will air on November 19, 2024.

Mikey passed through online tests and mock games to feature as a new contestant on Jeopardy on Tuesday. Now, she sets her eye on the coveted prize as a new champion.

However, McCullough’s journey in the trivia show won’t be easy as she has to face the reigning two-day champion, Paul Clauson. The Madison Heights, Michigan tax analyst registered his second win on Monday, taking his winning total to $36,300.

Mikey’s second opponent on Jeopardy is a high school teacher from Farmers Branch, Texas, Chris Burge.

Mikey McCullough Wiki & Family

Mikey’s full name is Michal McCullough. She was born in March 1974 in Baltimore, the most populous city in the US state of Maryland.

As of 2024, McCullough is 50 years old. She was raised by her parents, William McCullough (father) and Clare McCullough (mother).

Mikey has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Political Science, obtained from Drew University in 1996. She then did her MSLIS in Library Science from Syracuse University iSchool in 2012.

What Is Mikey McCullough’s Job?

Working as a librarian, McCullough holds an interest in exploring how librarians can utilize traditional information science skills in non-traditional ways. She has been serving as a metadata librarian and data curator at the National Agricultural Library.

Since joining the Beltsville-based library in May 2020, Mikey has focused on reference, managing digital information, and science data management.

Previously, McCullough worked as a digitization specialist at LAC Group from May 2019 to May 2020. She also handled the position of digital project librarian at UMD Extension/National Agricultural Library from March 2016 to December 2018.

Mikey was a contract indexer at Alexander Street Press from July 2013 to February 2016. Similarly, she was an archives coordinator at Crown Central from September 2012 to June 2013.

Additionally, McCullough worked at Daedalus Books as a bookstore operations assistant for 1 year and 10 months and bookstore assistant manager for 5 months.

Mikey hasn’t disclosed her professional net worth.

McCullough hasn’t revealed her relationship status publicly. She could well be married as of now! However, that part of the information remains unexplored to date.
