Despite being born without a left hand, nothing stopped Thomas Atkinson from pursuing his professional career as a footballer. He has already earned a total of 26 caps with the England Amputee national team.

Atkinson is one of the 16 houseguests in the 21st season of the British reality television series, Big Brother. He entered the new season of the ITV2 show on October 6, 2024.

Thomas is deemed one of the favorites to win the show, similar to the 20-year-old Chinese takeaway server, Lily Benson. Rosie Williams, Ali Bromley, and Nathan King are other favorites voted by the fans.

Atkinson announced himself as an energetic person in the introduction video of Big Brother UK.

“I describe myself as a very energetic, always lively person — I hate silence! People are going to see me as that giddy young person,” Atkinson said.

He further added,

“One of my bad traits is that I speak a lot. I do a lot of talking without thinking. In myself I never get offended, you can say anything about me — I’ve already heard it before.”

“Obviously I look a lot different to everyone else and that’s alright with me. If they say something about me then I can say something about them whereas I don’t think everyone is comfortable with that!”

You can watch Thomas’ journey on Big Brother House every night of the week at 9 pm on ITV2.
