Jones had initially auditioned for the show in February 2023. He got the call from the showrunners over 18 months later in August 2024.
Now, as a contestant on Monday, he will share the podium with a returning champion and one more challenger.
Evan’s first opponent is the reigning one-day champion, Susan Beachy. Susan, a news researcher from Queens, New York, has a total of $9,300, earned from her debut win on last Friday’s episode.
Evan and Susan will be joined on the stage by a Kansas City, Missouri-based teacher, Mike Ross.
